The best girls are from Nashville - the birthplace of country music and yours truly, me! I grew up in a small town in North Carolina named Rocky Mount and had a great childhood. I do have a slight, southern accent that pops up from time to time which I have been told is both attractive and annoying. I am a pretty laid back, fun-loving gal. I'm very outgoing and love to meet new people. I'm completely spontaneous and love to take day trips to anywhere and everywhere, go antique shopping, or work on my art projects. I enjoy painting and learning new skills and hobbies. I love to live life, laugh, and crave adventure. Being on the water is next to heaven for me and I love to be outdoors doing anything ~ running, gardening, or sitting on my deck with my friends hanging out and entertaining. I love Thai, sushi and Mexican food and most cleaning products that smell like fresh lemons. Random, I know. I consider myself to be smart, witty, and funny. I am goal-oriented, passionate, and love to be around and meet interesting people who make me laugh. I moved back to Tennessee after high school to attend Middle Tennessee State University for a degree in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Electronic Media Journalism with minors in Political Science and English. Over the years I have come to find that no matter where I live or roam, Tennessee will always be home to me. Professionally, I'm an energetic, motivated and driven professional with extensive experience in marketing and communications. Diverse background in hospitality, government and non-profit industries. Upper management experience including training, human resources and team building. I'm also civic-minded; I like to volunteer for the RVSPCA, am a member of Girl Scouts of the USA, Secretary/Treasurer for NewVaConnects (Young Professional Organization), member AD2 Roanoke, an active member of the Junior League of Roanoke Valley, and am a member of the American Advertising Federation. My areas of expertise in business include: Corporate contract negotiation, strategic planning, action planning, management, marketing and public relations, non-profit liaison and graphic design. I'm proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Bridge, Pagemaker; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and FrontPage.
