Mike
Welcome. This is a place for flash fiction, poetry, and song lyrics—writing that listens for what lingers after the noise dies down. Some pieces wrestle with faith, some with doubt, some with the quiet weight of ordinary days. All of them are shaped by attention to what is often overlooked. I am a retired, disabled veteran. Writing became a way to keep watch—to name what endures, what fractures, and what grace looks like when it’s tracked through mud rather than light. I’m less interested in tidy answers than in honest witness. Some of this work has found a home beyond these pages. I’ve been grateful to have poems published by Edge of Humanity Magazine (three times) and Spillwords Press (five times)—platforms that value careful language and human depth. It has been an honor to be read alongside so many thoughtful voices. If you’re drawn to stories that don’t announce themselves loudly, poems that trust silence as much as sound, and words that stay a little longer than expected, you’re in the right place. Come in. Linger if you need to. The door stays open.
