It was poet and intellectual George Herbert who said, "Living well is the best revenge." Here at Teahead our philosophy is much like George's. That a well lived life requires a certain -- and quite specific -- sense of taste and style, with a sophisticated foundation of curiosity and originality at heart. It is the antithesis of all things "modern" and everything thought "up-to-date." In this new low-brow saturated culture of ours, one is hardly encouraged to take even the most purile or innocuous risks, much less deviate in the slightest way from the herd mentality. In light of this tragic reality, we posit that a well-lived life requires the acceptance of certain truths and the outright rejection of most normalities in order to reach the apex of what it is that defines the term: Absolute freedom. Freedom from wage-slavery in favor of self-employment; freedom from having to live out the choices of others, in favor of inner direction; freedom from Kardashian-grade narcissism in favor of altruism; the freedom to BE free, yet still be considerate; the freedom to greet each day with love and NOT optimism. Yeah, just love. Simply put: here you will find my holy collection of thoughts on the subject. J. B. Rocco Hansen Editor
